Sorry no updates for a while. After Dan came home from the hospital on June 4, he did well for about a day then we saw some odd behavior, so he was re-admitted to the hospital on Saturday June 7 for observation and more tests. By Sunday, June 8 (our 30th anniversary), the doctors determined Dan is in a new stage of encephalopathy they call hyper delusional and the only "cure" is a liver transplant. So he was released from the hospital that evening, and we enjoyed a waffle bowl sundae from Dairy Queen for our anniversary. The odd behavior continues and with Dan's wonderful parents looking after him, along with Amy and Swen, and Roxanne visiting this week, I returned to Hawaii yesterday (Wed. June 11). We continue to pray and be hopeful of that gift of a liver transplant.
Aloha,
Debbie and Dan

What an emotional rollercoaster! Just letting you know you all are in my prayers. I pray everyday that Dan will have a liver transplant TODAY. I have to keep reminding myself, it's God's perfect time, not my time. Take care! --Janice
